Dear Codeista,
Hallo!! This is Alaina and I am here to talk briefly about one of my programming projects and also give some insight on how to get inspiration to start your own project!
As some of you may know, my main programming language is currently C#. I began using C# at a game design conference known as Unity Game Engine. Unity Game Engine is a wonderful program that anyone can use to get started as it has plenty of wonderful tutorials built into its system. I first started using Unity to build a game called Interitus with a group of individuals. However, my second project was a solo project for my AP Research class.
This project incorporated aspects of financial reporting in the Unity Game Engine. I designed a 2D game that essentially created its own financial report using user input. It was a time-consuming project, but the final product was worth it. I came up with the idea, because I thought using a gaming interface for a financial report would be more efficient than current softwares and also provide consumers with a more interactive experience.
Your programming project does not have to be very complicated, especially if its something you're currently learning, but I think your programming project should have an end goal, solve some issue, and be something you can invest yourself in. Otherwise, it's almost as if you're tediously writing code.
Whatever your BIG idea is, make sure that you are willing to invest you time into it, otherwise you may never finish it!
